Katie O’Malley is a Manchester girl who’s raw emotion to her voice fills a venue. Her influences clearly shine through and include the likes of Bob Dylan and Fleetwood Mac. Katie and her band have played across the country and in Manchester’s iconic venues. She has played alongside Aziz Ibrahim (Stone Roses/Simply Red) supported Kimmie Rhodes and worked with award winning producer Simon Dine (Paul Weller, Noonday Underground) on his project Chevron Shawl.
Dawn Chorus is the title of their EP. It beholds haunting songs with airy, organic folk/rock production; droning strings, piano, a shimmery electric guitar and drums coalesce around a finger style pattern and throaty vocals. The lyrics are rich with natural imagery.
Jane Silver is a singer-songwriter and guitarist originally from Barcelona and resident in London, where she is currently preparing her debut EP ‘Stories Vol. I’. As the name of the EP indicates, it will consist of a collection of stories made song, which she has already performed with her 4 piece band in both London and Barcelona. Her updated version of folk music is influenced by artists like Joni Mitchell or David Crosby, and bands such as Pentangle and Led Zeppelin. Jane Silver has already released two singles, ‘Marble’ and ‘Life Goes On’. The last one being a collaboration with fellow folk artist and friend Gabriel Kazz. Her upcoming EP will be out on March 15, 2019.
