Standing tall on the fringes of indie folk, dirty electronica and ambient music, h flits between guitars, synths, drums to bring his indie electronic orchestrations to life, his crystalline vocals the centre of the universe his music represents. His ingenious live show lead him to open the main stage of the Bath Festival 70th anniversary weekend, headlined by Paloma Faith & Robert Plant.
Amya-Ray is a Berkshire based singer-songwriter whose unique brand of ethereal-pop is firmly rooted in everyday life, finding beauty in the mundane and offering a vivid account of the hopes, fears and frustrations of a young woman in the modern world. Her shows are intimate experiences, with songs drawing directly from personal life experiences and delivered with unflinching honesty.She grew up surrounded by music ranging from classic rock to gospel to Bollywood to RnB. This diversity is reflected in her own influences, which include London Grammar, Amy Winehouse, Sammy Davis Jr, Warpaint and Nina Simone. Amya is currently in the studio working on her second EP. 2019 will also see the re-release of the ‘Stella’ EP.
