Amya-Ray is a Berkshire based singer-songwriter whose unique brand of ethereal-pop is firmly rooted in everyday life, finding beauty in the mundane and offering a vivid account of the hopes, fears and frustrations of a young woman in the modern world. Her shows are intimate experiences, with songs drawing directly from personal life experiences and delivered with unflinching honesty. She grew up surrounded by music ranging from classic rock to gospel to Bollywood to RnB. This diversity is reflected in her own influences, which include London Grammar, Amy Winehouse, Sammy Davis Jr, Warpaint and Nina Simone. Amya is currently in the studio working on her second EP. 2019 will also see the re-release of the ‘Stella’ EP.
Frankie Swain is an Alt-Folk singer-songwriter from the South East of England. Armed with her acoustic guitar, Frankie has a distinctive sound and paired with her raw emotive voice, she blends the traditional ‘story telling’ lyrics of folk with a pop-country twist.
Having penned her first song at the tender age of 11, Frankie’s love for music and writing has become stronger and better. “I love preforming, when you see that an audience is truly listening to the words you’ve written, it’s amazing; the best feeling in the world”.
In February 2017 Frankie’s hard work paid off, when she was asked to join Steve Rodgers (son of Bad Company’s Paul Rodgers) on his Intimate Adventures Tour. Described as ‘a true talent’ by Rodgers, Frankie has gone on to play some prestigious venues around London and Kent.
While touring, Frankie was also in and out of the studio recording her debut EP: “being in the studio is a wonderful thing, there’s something incredible about hearing the songs you’ve written take shape and come to life.” Through the success of her ‘Heart Of Gold’ EP, Frankie was invited to record at Dean Street Studio’s, a studio artists such as David Bowie and Adele have recorded albums at.
Although 2017 was a turning point for Frankie, 2018 hasn’t slowed down. Frankie kicked 2018 off with a bang, headlining at Camden’s famous Hawley Arms with her band to a sold out crowd. This is just the beginning of an exciting and promising year for Frankie.
